Aerospace Component Repair Engineer: Career Overview

As an Aerospace Component Repair Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of aerospace components. This position involves collaborating with various teams to develop and implement processes that integrate and standardize workflows.

  • You will be responsible for reviewing and amending repair process plans based on feedback or change requests from the shop floor.
  • An additional responsibility will be to ensure awareness of aerospace quality requirements and effectively communicate with customers and project teams.

Key qualifications and skills for this role include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering with at least 4 to 10 years of experience in MRO and aerospace manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Aero-engine components and manufacturing shop floor experience.
  • Excellent understanding of GD&T as well as tolerance stack-up for sub-assemblies & assemblies.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Solumina G8, and Engine Manual for integration and standardization in new applications.
