Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mandarin Language Specialist to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the teaching and learning of Mandarin language in our school.

The role involves assisting the Class Teacher in creating and maintaining an attractive, tidy, stimulating and supportive learning environment, including displays and equipment. The candidate will also support the Class Teacher in setting up and clearing away equipment and resources for students to access during the day and in specific activities.

In addition, the successful candidate will work alongside the Head of Mandarin in the design of the Mandarin Curriculum for the Early Years and have responsibility for the day-to-day teaching of the Mandarin Curriculum.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent language and literary skills, with a proven track record of outstanding Mandarin teaching and classroom practice. They will also have the ability to motivate and inspire students in order to ensure that academic provision is consistently outstanding.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (Mandarin) and valid teaching certification (L1 and/or L2) from ECDA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver mandarin curriculum is essential for this role.
