Job Title: Exterior Cladding Specialist

This role is responsible for the design, installation and inspection of exterior cladding systems on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Coordination:
    • Review and verify compliance of facade designs with project specifications and authority requirements.
    • Liaise with architects, consultants, and contractors for technical clarifications.
    • Coordinate exterior works with other trades to prevent clashes and delays.
  • Site Supervision & Inspection:
    • Oversee exterior installation works on-site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
    • Prepare and conduct inspection requests for exterior works with the relevant authorities.
    • Ensure rectification of defects and non-conformance issues.
  • Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC):
    • Implement QA/QC procedures for exterior works in coordination with contractors.
    • Review and verify testing of exterior systems, such as water tightness, air permeability, and structural integrity.
    • Monitor and maintain proper documentation for exterior quality records.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management:
    • Support project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring for exterior works.
    • Manage contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials.
    • Attend technical meetings and site coordination meetings as required.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure exterior works comply with local building codes and regulations.
    • Promote safe work practices and participate in safety inspections.
    Requirements:
    • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or related field.
    • At least 2–5 years of experience in exterior engineering, curtain wall or cladding works.
    • Strong understanding of exterior systems (curtain walls, aluminum cladding, glass systems etc.).
    • Familiar with local codes and regulations.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit or similar software.
    • Good communication and coordination skills with consultants, contractors and site teams.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
