The Site Safety Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the security and safety of our property, associates, and guests. This position involves managing day-to-day security operations, responding to incidents, maintaining logs and certifications, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company safety and security policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Effectively handle emergency situations, such as evacuations, medical emergencies, and natural disasters, by following established protocols.
- Report all work-related incidents, accidents, or injuries immediately to management.
- Maintain awareness and report any undesirable persons or activities on property premises.
- Identify and report unsafe work procedures or conditions to supervisors.
- Comply with Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, blood-borne pathogens, etc., using Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Utilize personal protective equipment correctly and implement safe work practices to prevent injury.
- Complete necessary safety training and certifications to perform job tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Possession of a valid security license and first aid certification.
- O-levels school diploma or equivalent in any discipline.
