Position Overview

The LNG Technical Advisor role is integral to the operational excellence of LNG commercial activities. This position collaborates closely with various teams, including LNG Trading, Operations, and Freight, to ensure seamless execution of LNG transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and analyze cargo data through the Quality Control Module (QCM).
  • Assess and endorse Measurement and Testing provisions in commercial agreements and lifting contracts.
  • Facilitate resolution of technical disputes, including issues related to off-spec cargos and equipment malfunctions.
  • Establish and promote LNG-specific measurement and testing protocols.
  • Act as the process owner to ensure adherence to these standards by both internal and external testing entities collaborating with Shell.
  • Deliver training sessions to both internal stakeholders and external partners on LNG Measurement, Quality, and Custody Transfer equipment.
  • Assist trading operations with the daily logistics of LNG shipments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience with LNG custody transfer measurement techniques and equipment.
  • A minimum of 10 years in the LNG supply chain sector.
  • At least 10 years of experience in LNG shipping operations.
  • Operational expertise within an LNG facility is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of working effectively in virtual teams and engaging with clients across diverse locations.
