Healthcare Professional: Patient Care and Medication Expertise Required

Job Description
The pharmacist is responsible for reviewing and verifying prescriptions to ensure correct dosages and identifying potential risks. The role involves ensuring that all orders are clear and specific doses are prescribed within therapeutic limits, while identifying any potential adverse reactions and interactions.
The pharmacist will also be responsible for fulfilling all drug orders accurately and in a timely manner, checking and verifying prescriptions, and dispensing prescribed drugs with counselling.
In addition, the pharmacist will oversee in-patient and out-patient discharges, provide drug information services to medical staff, prepare extemporaneous products as and when prescribed, and maintain proper inventory records on all drugs.
The pharmacist will also supervise the work of Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Technicians, liaise with external doctors and Hospital based Resident Medical Officers as necessary, and perform any other duties as requested by the Senior Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager.
The pharmacist must also ensure that all sales and supply of medicinal products comply with legal requirements, and maintain records pertaining to all phases of drug receipt, supply, storage, and distribution as required by the hospital and/or legal authorities.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited University recognized by the Singapore Pharmacy Council, as well as registration with the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
A minimum of 1 to 2 years of working experience as a hospital pharmacist is also required, although entry level candidates who have completed their pre-registration pharmacist training are welcome to apply.
You will also need to be an effective team player, commit to doing rotating shifts and night shifts, exhibit integrity and honesty, and work well independently.
