Job Title: Firmware Development Expertise

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Firmware Development Expert to join our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging embedded firmware and applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development, preferably for embedded systems or printing devices. A degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field is required. The successful candidate will also possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate expertise in C/C++ programming, real-time operating systems, and digital electronics. Experience with Linux system programming and/or system administration is highly desirable. Additionally, the ability to lead or mentor junior engineers is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and debug embedded firmware and applications.
  • Provide support for customers' requests/issues relating to firmware.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure firmware aligns with product requirements and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve firmware-related issues and bugs.
  • Participate in the implementation of firmware updates and improvements.
  • Lead/mentor junior engineers for technical-related aspects or issues.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years and above of proven experience in firmware development, preferably for embedded systems or printing devices.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and familiarity with real-time operating systems.
  • Solid understanding of digital electronics, microcontrollers, and firmware architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux system programming and/or system administration (highly desirable).
