About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Funds Lawyer to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our structuring team, you will be responsible for developing innovative investment fund structures for institutional and private investors globally.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage complex structuring projects from a legal, regulatory, operational, and project management aspect.
  • Lead client conversions for investments in traditional commingled funds, negotiating terms with client's counsel and drafting side letters.
  • Design, form, and negotiate customized separate accounts for leading international, institutional investors.
  • Draft and/or review documentation relating to various fund structures.
  • Assume responsibility and ownership for select funds and separate accounts, including maintenance and related processes and procedures.
  • Develop a set of skills and general Partners Group know-how, particularly relating to the Structuring service catalogue and relevant interfaces with operational teams.
  • Research legal and regulatory considerations relevant to specific clients, products, and jurisdictions.
  • Instruct and manage external legal advisors and other service providers.
What We Expect
  • A qualified lawyer with 5-10 years of relevant work experience at a top law firm, bank, or asset manager, preferably focused on private markets investments.
  • Familiarity with the latest regulatory developments shaping the private markets industry, particularly across the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Experience with different fund structures and other innovative structures is preferable.
  • A self-motivated and proactive individual with a strong desire to learn and succeed.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills to manage multiple projects at any one time.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex topics with both internal and external parties.
  • Knowledge of global fund jurisdictions, including Luxembourg, Delaware, and Cayman Islands, and fund structures for private equity, private real estate, private debt, and private infrastructure.
  • Able to consider varying tax considerations in determining appropriate fund structures.
  • Able to manage external counsel and meet ambitious fund formation timelines.
  • Ability to work with a successful sales team on new fund strategies.
