Job Overview
This role involves designing and implementing audiovisual systems. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical expertise in designing and evaluating system setups, creating comprehensive design packages, and generating detailed documentation such as build of materials, proposals, and connection-level drawings for various systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the audiovisual industry, with at least 3 years of experience in a related role. They will also possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients, work independently, multitask, and thrive under pressure to meet deadlines.

A key part of this role is staying up-to-date with the latest technologies in the audiovisual industry to ensure cutting-edge designs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality results and exceeding expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design AV systems: Provide technical expertise in designing and evaluating system setups, creating comprehensive design packages.
  • Generate documentation: Create detailed build of materials, proposals, and connection-level drawings for various systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Participate in project meetings, coordinate design reviews, and work closely with project managers, sales teams, and customers.
  • Stay industry-current: Keep abreast of the latest technologies in the audiovisual industry to ensure cutting-edge designs.
  • Perform site surveys and attend coordination meetings when required.

Requirements:
  • AV industry experience: At least 3 years of experience in the audiovisual industry as a System Designer or related roles such as Project Engineer or Commissioning Engineer.
  • Technical knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturers like Crestron, Extron, AMX, Polycom, Biamp, Clearone, QSC, and Cisco. Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous but training will be provided.
  • Industry certifications: Relevant certifications such as CTS are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently, multitask, and thrive under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to work, with patience and efficiency in task completion.
