Job Summary


As a Key Holder Restaurant Manager at Marriott International, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurants. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and have a keen eye for detail.



Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in Management of Restaurant Team:
  • Handle employee questions and concerns effectively.
  • Monitor employees to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to employees based on observed service behaviors.
  • Assist in supervising daily shift operations, ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
  • In the absence of the Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager, supervise restaurant and all related areas.
  • Participate in department meetings, clearly communicating departmental goals to drive desired results.


Conducting Day-to-Day Restaurant Operations:

  • Ensure all employees have necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Communicate with the Chef and Restaurant Manager regarding food quality and service levels.
  • Maintain compliance with all restaurant policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Oversee alcohol beverage service, adhering to local laws.
  • Manage to achieve or exceed budgeted goals, focusing on revenue growth and cost control.
  • Perform duties of restaurant employees and related departments as needed.
  • Open and close restaurant shifts efficiently.


Providing Exceptional Customer Service:

  • Engage with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Supervise staffing levels to balance guest satisfaction, operational needs, and financial objectives.
  • Educate employees on providing excellent customer service within established guidelines.
  • Address guest complaints and issues, seeking assistance from supervisors when necessary.
  • Strive to improve service performance, setting a positive example for guest relations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to review comment cards and guest satisfaction results.
  • Meet and greet guests warmly.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ongoing training initiatives.
  • Utilize available on-the-job training tools for employees.
  • Communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.
  • Counsel and coach employees on their performance regularly.
