Design Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Design Engineer to support our global presence in the precision engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) on product design and development, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Oversee the design and documentation of components made from precision machined parts and sheet metal, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Employ Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools to enhance design manufacturability, reducing waste and improving quality.
  • Conduct impact analysis to refine designs, ensuring they meet specifications, project timelines, and cost objectives.
  • Participate in technical discussions and present design solutions to clients, effectively communicating complex ideas.
  • Coordinate the fabrication, assembly, and validation of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Prepare drawing proposals and tooling designs, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct tooling buy-out and hands-on tooling setup, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
  • Initiate and conduct improvement project evaluations, identifying areas for growth and implementing change.
  • Liaise with customers on design requirements and alignment, ensuring mutual understanding and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Precision Engineering.
  • Proficient in using Solidworks and/or other 3D modeling software.
  • Proficient in using CAD/CAM programming.
  • Working knowledge and experience in tool & die, jig & fixtures design preferred.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
