We are seeking a dedicated Safety Management Professional to join our team at KONE PTE LTD. As a Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in improving safety management within the organization.

About the Role:

In this challenging position, you will support business units in enhancing their safety performance through the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of KONE's safety management system (operating model). This includes worker, user, and third-party safety. You will be expected to cultivate an understanding and caring culture for safety, acting as a role model within the organization.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Safety Policy and Objectives:
    • Implement, maintain, and improve KONE's safety management system (operating model) including worker, user, and third-party safety.
    • Cultivate an understanding and actively caring culture for safety, act as a role model.
    • Compile, maintain, and improve safety documentation with the unit safety team.
    • Participate in and contribute to unit safety committees and other safety forums.
    • Provide professional advice and support to the unit on matters affecting safety.
    • Plan, participate in, and implement projects and activities to improve safety.
    • Work closely with customers and partners, including KONE subcontractors.
    • Support the development, review, and exercise of crisis and emergency response plans.
  • Safety Risk Management:
    • Monitor and develop safety risk management processes, tools, and practices.
    • Support safety-related change management projects and initiatives.
  • Safety Assurance:
    • Collect, measure, and ensure accuracy of leading and lagging safety data. Report performance.
    • Monitor legal and business environment developments in safety, identify, and propose actions.
    • Perform safety audits regularly to verify compliance, identify uncontrolled risks, and deviations.
    • Assist line management in safety audits/visits and support audit process improvement.
    • Analyze and investigate incidents. Support investigation process improvement.
    • Manage corrective and preventive actions for continual improvement.
  • Safety Promotion:
    • Develop own competences as a safety specialist in cooperation with the manager.
    • Support the training and development of others' safety competences in the unit.
    • Proactively communicate safety information, including investigation outcomes and best practices.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recognized Professional Qualification in Safety.
  • Registered as WSH Officer with MOM for at least 10 years preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in the building construction industry preferred.
  • Good knowledge of applicable safety regulations.
  • Safety management system, tools, and certifications experience.
  • Problem-solving, incident management, auditing, and analysis skills.
  • People management, training, and communication skills.
  • Strong people and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a digital and mobile environment.
  • Project and change management skills.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • MRT and LTA project experience preferred.
