Supply Chain and Logistics Leader

About the Role

You will oversee all aspects of supply chain operations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, focusing on procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.

The role involves developing and executing strategies for sourcing, cost containment, and supply chain optimization while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement, and oversee the global sourcing and supplier management process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage production and inventory plans to meet market demand.
  • Analyse demand forecasts and resolve related issues.
  • Source raw materials, packaging components, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards during procurement.
  • Coordinate transportation, and delivery of products while adhering to Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
  • Manage import/export operations and ensure timely dispatch of goods.
  • Monitor stock levels, expiration dates, and minimize waste through effective inventory management systems.
  • Ensure processes comply with cGMP and with local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain readiness for inspections and audits.
  • Identify opportunities in supply chain processes and implement solutions for efficiency improvements, cost savings, and risk mitigations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, driving performance and accountability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
  • 9-10 years in supply chain management, including experience in a pharmaceutical environment and global sourcing.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, financial analysis, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism ensuring compliance, confidentiality, and adherence to industry regulations and standards.
