Data Analyst for Housing Development

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team at the Housing and Development Board (HDB). This role is an exciting opportunity to leverage your analytical skills and experience in data science to drive business decisions.

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary range for this position is SGD 80,000 - SGD 120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Successful candidates will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, retirement plan, and paid leave.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will play a critical part in supporting HDB's journey to become data-driven. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing guidance to business units on data science techniques and their applications;
- Conceptualizing and executing data science projects for business units;
- Applying analytical techniques such as data mining, statistical analysis, machine learning, etc.;
- Uncovering actionable insights and presenting them clearly in an easy-to-understand manner;
- Working with IT and Internal Audit units to operationalize data science projects by deploying them into production and maintaining them;
- Documenting, sharing, and continuously improving data science practices;
- Managing a range of stakeholders while remaining focused on delivering high-impact data-driven outcomes for the good of the organization.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
- A relevant background in Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Economics, Mathematics, Operation Research, Computer Science, or related technical field from a reputable institution;
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a business analytics or data science-facing role;
- Experience in use cases related to audit/compliance will be beneficial;
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Python, R, Tableau, etc.;
- Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.

- A clear and competent communicator.
Successful candidates will be offered a 1+1 year contract in the first instance, with conversion to permanent employment dependent on good performance.
