Job Title: Workplace Safety and Health Manager cum Fire Safety Officer
Job Description:
- Develop and implement effective Workplace Safety and Health Management Systems (WSHMS) to ensure compliance with the WSH Act and related legal requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections or audits and maintain accurate documentation of safety records.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all departments and projects.
- Act as appointed Fire Safety Manager in accordance with the Fire Safety Act, conduct fire drills, and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Develop Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and inspect fire safety systems to ensure functionality.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in WSH and Fire Safety management in construction/building facilities.
- Registered WSHO with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) by SCDF.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore's WSH Act, Code of Practices, and Fire Safety Act.
- Proven track record of managing and improving workplace safety programs.
- Experience with site inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, and accident investigations.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
