Telecommunication Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunication Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in engineering design of telecommunication, safety & security and marine navigation systems.


  • The successful candidate will take ownership of engineering design and ensure a thorough understanding of client requirements. They will propose the right solution to fit the specifications and produce high-quality engineering documents.
  • The Telecommunication Systems Engineer will work closely with clients to identify their needs and provide tailored solutions. They will also be responsible for producing scratch drawings and guiding the AUTOCAD drafter to create deliverables.
  • The role requires adaptability and flexibility, as the engineer must adapt industrial standards and best practices into the engineering drawing preparation, design, review, and submission process.
  • The engineer will guide in-house technicians for equipment assembly and cabinet integration, implement system configuration, simulation, testing, and verification. They will also conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and provide training to clients and commissioning engineers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A minimum diploma in telecom or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Proven 4-5 years' experience in a similar role within the industrial markets.
  • Strong documentation and time management skills.
  • The ability to articulate complex concepts with customers and suppliers.
  • Effective teamwork and leadership skills.
  • An objective-driven, time-sensitive, and resourceful approach to work.
