The Nanyang Technological University is seeking a highly motivated researcher for a SASEAF Postdoctoral Fellow position in Prof Lee Hiang Kwee's research team.

The selected candidate will contribute to the advancement of inorganic membranes, encompassing nanomaterial synthesis, characterization, and exploration of fundamental properties and molecular separation capabilities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to maintain expertise in membrane science.
  • Carry out assigned research activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
  • Disseminate research findings through publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Prepare detailed reports and manage data effectively to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Analyze experimental results and communicate findings clearly to facilitate collaboration.
  • Train graduate and undergraduate students in research techniques to foster their growth.
  • Maintain laboratory instruments to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Perform administrative duties such as purchasing chemicals and consumables, and coordinating collaborations.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Background in membrane science and engineering, with expertise in nanotechnology and membrane technology.
  • Familiarity with diverse characterization techniques, including BET analysis, temperature-programmed desorption/reaction, gas chromatography, ion chromatography, and others.
  • Demonstrated research/publication record in membrane science or related areas.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and scientific data processing software (e.g., imageJ, Origin).
