About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Molecular Biologist to join our team at DSO National Laboratories. As a Molecular Biologist, you will be responsible for developing solutions to detect and characterise pathogens using multi-omics approaches.

  • You will design and execute experiments to investigate functional characteristics of pathogens and the impact of potential countermeasures.
  • You will analyse experimental data and communicate findings to stakeholders through reports and presentations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Degree/Masters/PhD in Life Sciences/Molecular Biology/Molecular Biotechnology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in extensive suite of molecular biology techniques such as PCR, molecular cloning, protein expression and purification.
  • Familiarity with cellular and biochemical assays to investigate i) biological characteristics of bacteria and ii) anti-virulence properties of countermeasures.
  • The ability to work in BSL3 environments.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
