Culinary Support Role

Join our team as a Culinary Support Assistant, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our kitchen environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional logistical support for various school events, lessons, and activities. As a Culinary Support Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the general cleanliness and safety of equipment and the workplace
  • Providing logistical support for Food, Consumer Education lessons, school events, and activities, including transporting and arranging furniture and equipment
  • Performing simple administrative and office tasks
  • Assisting Operations Managers with operational tasks, such as maintaining cleanliness and providing logistical support for events, particularly during school holidays
  • Preparing ingredients, equipment, apparatus, and substances for food laboratory lessons, examinations, and enrichment programs
  • Reviewing goods from suppliers and ensuring that delivered goods match the delivery order

Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • GCE N level (preferable)
  • Level 1 Basic Food Hygiene Certification (preferable)

Experience:

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a kitchen, food laboratory, food services, catering environment, or working in a school environment would be beneficial.

Working Hours:

This is a 1-year contract position with the option to extend for another year. The working hours are as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7am to 4pm, inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break
  • Friday: 7am to 3:30pm, inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break

The service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
