A Restaurant Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a restaurant, ensuring that all processes are properly followed and that the guest experience is exceptional. This includes setting shift goals, assigning tasks to team members, and responding to guests' needs in a friendly and respectful manner.
The Shift Leader must be able to work independently and make decisions quickly, while also being a strong communicator and leader. They will be responsible for creating a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example.
Responsibilities- Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan, Food Safety Certification, and any additional training required by Zax LLC
- Create a culture of high performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards
- Mentor, coach and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to management
- Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner
- Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example
- Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability
- Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift
- Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
- Enhance guest experiences by ensuring that team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations
- Manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and taking corrective action when necessary
- Track food safety and quality throughout the shift and ensure guests receive accurate orders that meet company standards and guests' satisfaction
- Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete
- Collaborate with management to develop goals and report progress to management
- Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed throughout daily operations
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation
- Available to work 9 to 28 hours per week
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successful completion of background check
- Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others
