Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Transport Operations Specialist to join our team at Royal Ocean Marine. This role reports directly to the Assistant Transport Manager and plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as primary liaison between external hauliers and the company, maintaining effective communication and relationships.
  • Assist in planning and allocating delivery and transport orders, ensuring efficient execution.
  • Maintain key data sets for reporting, analyzing trends, and presenting findings to stakeholders for review.
  • Conduct regular site observations with hauliers, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Perform haulier audits to guarantee compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute transport orders efficiently, minimizing delays and costs.
  • Monitor transport orders against company KPIs, identifying operational gaps and implementing corrective actions.
  • Undertake additional ad-hoc duties and projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (diplomas also welcome).
  • Experience in export, import, and general trucking order process flow.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced environments, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
