Key Engineering Position:

We are seeking a talented Engineer to join our team in the design and construction of high-tech data centres. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in the development of world-class digital infrastructure.

Job Description:

As Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction phases of data centre projects. Your expertise in electrical power distribution and protection systems will be crucial in ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards.

Working closely with project managers and delivery teams, you will monitor construction activities and ensure that the data centre facility is built to our exacting standards. You will also be responsible for reviewing and approving design consultant's work, communicating with contractors and vendors, and maintaining our internal engineering standards.

Additionally, you will support project commissioning and troubleshooting activities, as well as provide assistance with internal engineering design and development. You will establish engineering and operational procedures following our company's standards.

You will also travel from one site to another for support, as required, and report day-to-day basic tasks and alignment to your Line Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Power or Building Services Engineering, preferably with Chartered Engineer status. Relevant Uptime/TIA certificates are also desirable.

With a minimum of six years' experience in electrical power design and construction project delivery, preferably on data centre projects, you should have good knowledge of electrical HV/MV distribution engineering and a strong understanding of data centre projects and protection studies.

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., and experience with Mechanical HVAC software such as IES, is essential. Good command of written and spoken English is required, with proficiency in Chinese and/or Bahasa Indonesia/Malay an advantage.

You should be familiar with TNB/local authorities' procedures, standards, and requirements.

Experience working with native Data Center employees based in Indonesia, Malaysia, or China would be beneficial.
