Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Production Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the preparation of meals, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.

  • Prepare and cook food according to menu specifications and daily requirements.
  • Attend to any last-minute meal orders or menu changes as needed.
  • Follow and maintain food, health, and work safety standards at all times.
  • Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food tasting.
  • Ensure proper food storage, handling, and waste management.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and perform daily general cleaning in the kitchen area.
  • Comply with food portioning, texture, and presentation standards.
  • Assist in inventory management and stock control to ensure raw ingredients are not overstocked and are properly labeled.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCE 'N' Level / 'O' Level / Nitec 2-3 with minimally 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Possess basic Food Hygiene certification.
  • Recognized Culinary Certificate will be an advantage.
  • Able to recognize basic food ingredients, utensils, cookery, and kitchen tools.
  • Self-disciplined, willing to learn, follow instructions, and strictly adhere to house rules and regulations.
