Job Role Summary

Mechanical QAQC Engineers form the backbone of our company's quality assurance process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure compliance with method statements and industry standards through regular site inspections.
  • Method Statement Management: Verify client and consultant approvals for all method statements used in MEP works.
  • Site Checks and Inspections: Perform thorough checks on MEP works to guarantee project requirements are met before handover.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Collaborate with Client inspectors/Authorized inspectors to ensure seamless compliance.
  • Subcontractor Monitoring: Resolve quality issues and rectify defects promptly among subcontractor workers/vendors for all trades.
  • Quality Documentation: Execute quality control as per site-specific materials and Works Quality Plan, ensuring controlled documents are administered effectively.
  • Daily Site Coordination: Coordinate M&E installation site work activities daily.
  • Product Verification: Verify purchased products at vendors' premises as specified in contracts.
  • Equipment Calibration: Ensure test equipment is properly calibrated.
  • Corrective Action: Monitor corrective and preventive actions against non-conformities and recurrence.
  • Process Assessment: Assess feedback on construction processes and procedures.
  • Assessment and Compliance: Arrange CONQUAS assessments with BCA and follow up on required tests as per contract requirements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of relevant QAQC experience.
  • A proven track record and hands-on project quality documentation in construction quality with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems installation.
  • Substantial hands-on project quality documentation in the construction sector.
  • Able to work in the Tuas area and willing to transport oneself from designated MRT stations.
