Junior Scientific Support Specialist

We are seeking a detail-driven and hands-on individual to join our laboratory team. As a Junior Scientific Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality testing, supporting operational workflows, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic lab environment. You will work closely with customers and team members to ensure smooth testing operations, implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety, and quality guidelines.

  • Coordinate with customers and team members to ensure smooth testing operations.
  • Implement and follow SOPs, safety, and quality guidelines.
  • Receive, process, and manage samples for testing and storage.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate results.
  • Keep the lab organized – from chemical inventory to proper waste disposal.
  • Support investigations, documentation, and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is an advantage.
