Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Psychologist to join our team in creating opportunities for children and young people with unique needs. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Educational/Clinical/Applied Psychology, relevant clinical experience, and good interpersonal and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be able to develop individualized plans for each child based on their specific needs, conduct comprehensive assessments, and provide learning support in the classroom. They will also be responsible for behaviour management, staff training, and research projects.

As a key member of our team, you will be expected to work independently in a multidisciplinary setting and maintain accurate records. Your ability to communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and staff will be essential in achieving positive outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of each student with special needs to understand their unique challenges, strengths, and developmental needs.
  2. Intervention: Provide comprehensive learning support for students in the classroom through classroom management strategies/learning support strategies.
  3. Training & Support: Conduct workshops for parents/caregivers across programmes on various topics such as self-care, improving overall wellbeing, behaviour management, play & leisure activities etc.
  4. Research: Participate in research and programme evaluation projects.
  5. Administration: Maintain accurate records, participate in sub-committee meetings, and assist HOD in the administration of the department.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Educational/Clinical/Applied Psychology (relevant sub-specialty)
  • Relevant clinical experience with children and adolescents preferred
  • Conversant in learning, emotion, and social development skills, child development, and classroom management skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team
  • Eligible for full membership with Singapore Psychological Society or registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists/HCPC/APHRA
