We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team at the NATIONAL UNIVERSITY HEALTH SYSTEM PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized, specialized, and cost-effective care to patients, in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, standards of nursing care, and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care of patients with complex healthcare needs according to updated standards of nursing practice.
- Patient Care Delivery: Ensure patient care delivery (inclusive of education and counseling) is carried out according to established standards of care practice using patient care plan/clinical pathways.
- Coordination and Supervision: Coordinate patients' access and treatment sequence where required for the specialty, and provide clinical supervision to nurses and nurse trainees to ensure quality patient care delivery.
- Education and Training: Conduct teaching and counseling for patients and their families/carers, and initiate and ensure implementation of discharge planning for patients.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and participate actively in the review of patients with the multidisciplinary team, and follow up on patients at NUH specialist outpatient clinics where appropriate.
- Quality Improvement: Apply understanding of prevention of medico-legal issues in relation to patient care, and participate in research activities and quality improvement/research projects.
- Education and Experience: Registered Nurse with at least 9 years of post-registration clinical experience, of which 2 years must be as Assistant Nurse Clinician.
- Skills and Competencies: Technically skilled and competent, good interpersonal and communication skills, and computer literacy skill – MS Word and PowerPoint.
