Secure the safety and well-being of guests, employees, and properties by performing hotel security duties and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing hotel security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and properties as well as the properties' assets.
  • Participating in the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) assisting fire emergencies.

As a senior security officer, you will provide guidance and leadership to security officers through the course of their duties, perform duties as security duty shift supervisor when needed, and assist with training and development of newly assigned personnel.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out investigations that require CCTV viewing and reporting.
  • Remaining vigilant during duty post deployment and hotel patrol at all times, identifying fire and security risks.
  • Providing advice to staff and guests on security and safety issues.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Liaising with external organisations including emergency services regarding security and safety issues.
  • Logging security incidents and accidents for guests and colleagues in accordance with hotel requirements, reviewing and reporting on CCTV investigations.

Senior security officers must be thoroughly familiar with the property layout, design, entry and exit points in order to lead and direct guests whenever possible.

Attend to all alarms, medical & fire emergencies, and other similar matters. Evacuate premises and contact appropriate emergency services if required.

Ensure checks are conducted on fire panel, fire hose reel, fire barriers, fire exit doors and all safety equipment to be in good working order. Comply with all the Hotel Policies, Procedures and Workplace Safety and Health.

Monitor CCTV surveillance and conduct regular patrols of the hotel, promptly reporting any suspicious or unusual activities to the supervisor.

Maintain a professional demeanor, handling incidents discreetly and confidently. Perform security functions at assigned posts and areas within the hotel, ensuring hotel function rooms remain secure and locked when not in use.
