We are seeking a skilled Software Development Expert to join our team at Afizan Pte Ltd in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the company's growth.

About the Role

This Java Software Engineer position involves maintaining and improving IT applications by implementing enhancements, troubleshooting live issues, and providing effective solutions to resolve problems. You will also be responsible for migrating existing applications to a cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security requirements.

Your tasks will include design, programming, integration, system testing, user support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and thorough documentation. Additionally, you will develop unit tests and end-to-end test scripts leveraging Azure technologies, diagnose, resolve, and prevent recurring issues by creating automated test cases, and oversee the deployment of all enhancements and fixes to testing and live environments within agreed timelines.

You will collaborate with end users, server administrators, database administrators, and system analysts supporting IT systems. This role requires strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Infocomm Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with proficiency in JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX/JSON, ReactJS, J2EE (Weblogic, Tomcat), Struts, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, or Spring Boot, Restful APIs, MS SQL, Oracle, or PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with Red Hat Linux OS, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and development experience using Azure App Services, Spring Cloud, Tomcat, and MS SQL, alongside Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with agile development and DevOps practices, good working knowledge of version control systems like Git (minimum 3 years).
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $4,000 to $6,500 per month, commensurate with experience. The company offers annual salary increments, yearly performance bonuses, health insurance, a 5G smartphone with plan, subsidized training and certifications, and annual leave: 14 days per year, sick leave: 14 days per year.
