Role Summary:

The Material Coordinator will be an integral member of the warehouse team, responsible for organizing and consolidating inventory to facilitate order fulfillment across all product lines with minimal oversight. This role involves collaboration within a small team to execute departmental responsibilities effectively while driving process enhancements in accordance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and uphold safety practices with a focus on a safety-first approach.
  • Execute physical and administrative tasks related to general warehouse operations, including picking, packing, loading, and unloading materials as per requirements.
  • Ensure material accuracy through verification processes, addressing discrepancies, and conducting quality checks on goods.
  • Package materials following established procedures, utilizing appropriate packing supplies.
  • Process multiple orders efficiently using the ERP system, either through RF scanning or manual entry.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper transfers, labeling, audits, and cycle counts.
  • Identify and segregate short-dated and expired materials, coordinating scrap requests as necessary.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to address inventory or operational concerns.
  • Handle materials in various temperature environments, including ambient, cold, and frozen.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as pallet jacks and lifting devices.
  • Maintain organized workspaces following 6S principles (Sort, Straighten, Standardize, Shine, Sustain, Safety).
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Finance departments to support daily operations.
  • Facilitate material transfers by generating reports through the ERP system and ensuring accurate execution.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances and discrepancies.
  • Identify root causes of inventory issues and participate in process improvement initiatives.

Receiving Responsibilities:

  • Verify and receive incoming shipments.
  • Conduct material and documentation inspections as per requirements.
  • Assist with system issues and the closure of internal requisition requests.
  • Collect scrap and quarantined materials from requestors.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and accurate data entry into the ERP system.
  • Meet key performance indicators, ensuring timely processing.
  • Support both primary and secondary functions as needed.

Picking and Topping Responsibilities:

  • Perform picking for work orders and topping up per Kanban requirements.
  • Coordinate with Planners and Manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and data integrity in the ERP system.

Cycle Count Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control for accurate counts.

Shipping Responsibilities:

  • Verify and collect completed work orders from manufacturing.
  • Conduct pick and pack operations efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Logistics to ensure timely release of volumes to forwarders.

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with GMPs and product specifications.
  • Relevant vocational training or equivalent experience.
  • Secondary school education or equivalent qualifications.
