Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine the degree of hearing handicap, prioritize care needs, and synthesize assessment information to identify patients' main concerns.
  • Select, fit, and dispense listening devices and other auditory equipment to help individuals with hearing impairments.
  • Prevent hearing loss by providing and fitting protective ear devices and educating patients on the effects of noise on hearing.
  • Aid in research related to the prevention, identification, and management of hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance system dysfunction.
  • Design and implement auditory rehabilitation and related communication programs to enhance patients' quality of life.
  • Monitor cochlear implants and bone-anchored hearing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to provide comprehensive services and options available, coordinating necessary referrals accordingly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree and above in Audiology or related field.
  • Excellent customer care and service skills.
  • Strong audiological knowledge and expertise.
  • Excellent communication abilities in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with hearing-impaired individuals.
  • Computer literacy.
