Derivatives Trading Executive

About the Role:

  • The role involves gaining hands-on exposure to derivatives trading, market research, and applying AI and large language models in strategy development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing trading instructions for derivatives, forward/futures contracts, and other financial instruments is a key aspect of this position.
  • Fundamental and technical data on assigned products needs to be collected, structured, and maintained, tracking global supply-demand dynamics, geopolitical events, and macroeconomic trends.
  • Daily and weekly reports need to be prepared to support position-taking and trading strategy formulation.
  • Maintaining real-time portfolio positions assists in pricing, risk monitoring, and portfolio valuation.
  • Reconciling executed trades with broker statements and confirmations on a daily basis is crucial.
  • Accurate recording and reporting of all derivatives transactions and performance results are necessary.
  • Monitoring and managing margin calls and excess cash across brokers requires collaboration with internal teams to optimize liquidity and collateral allocation.
  • Leveraging AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) enhances algorithmic trading, automated trade execution, market analysis, strategy development, and backtesting.
  • Participation in internal training programs and performing ad hoc tasks are also required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is essential.
  • A strong interest in financial markets, derivatives, and trading is necessary.
  • Familiarity with trading platforms, market data tools, and financial modeling is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of Python, VBA, or other programming languages are advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented individuals with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are ideal.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is a must.
