AV Systems Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Audio Visual Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, IT, or Computer Engineering. They should also possess hands-on experience in AV systems and technologies, with a solid understanding of video conferencing, broadcasting, signal flow, and control systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading product demonstrations, following up on sales leads, and building strong relationships with partners and suppliers.
  • Conducting client meetings to understand requirements and address concerns.
  • Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and internal reports.
  • Ensuring the availability of AV equipment for demos and sales activities.
  • Managing quotations, purchase orders, and pricing negotiations with vendors.
  • Representing the company at meetings and industry events.
  • Working closely with management to plan and execute AV projects.
  • Creating and reviewing schematic drawings and layout plans.
  • Assisting in the procurement of AV hardware/software and ensuring project readiness.
  • Managing project timelines, logistics, and equipment storage/transport.
  • Performing installation, configuration, upgrading, and troubleshooting of AV systems onsite.
  • Executing electrical wiring, trunking, and basic construction tasks.
  • Commissioning and testing devices including CCTV, ELV, Bluetooth, and other AV technologies.
  • Providing pre-, during-, and post-project support including quality checks, technical issue resolution, and user training.
  • Maintaining project documentation and liaising with finance for billing and costing.

Key qualifications include:

  • Diploma in Audio Visual Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, IT, or Computer Engineering.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in AV systems and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of video conferencing, broadcasting, signal flow, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with video editing software, graphics, and encoding tools.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of AV hardware, software, and industry trends.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
