Job Description
  • Enhance the bank's credit underwriting standards and process by evaluating and approving transactions within delegated authority and recommending transactions exceeding delegated authority for higher-level approval.
  • Ensure sound credit decisions that reflect the bank's credit underwriting standards, policies, risk appetite, and local regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and approve transactions within delegated authority.
  • Recommend transactions exceeding delegated authority for higher-level approval.
  • Enhance early warning framework for pre-emptive actions on vulnerable accounts.
  • Conduct portfolio monitoring to initiate portfolio action on accounts displaying early warning signals.
  • Lead studies on lessons learned from non-performing loans or first payment default accounts.
  • Support conceptualization and development of new credit products suitable for local markets.
  • Provide user requirements for credit underwriting or review processes in loan origination systems.
  • Provide secretariat support for the Credit Risk Management Committee meeting.
  • Coach junior credit approvers and analysts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5 years of credit experience from banking or financial industry.
  • Preferably possess complementary work experience in credit underwriting, restructuring, or program lending.
  • Degree holder, preferably in risk management discipline.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated and collaborative team player with ability to consider the broader picture.
