Job Description

We seek an expert to lead and contribute to interdisciplinary research in environmental data science. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse and inclusive workforce, committed to equality of opportunity.

As a key member of our team, you will leverage innovative data science methodologies to address pressing environmental challenges and advance our understanding of natural systems.

  • Conduct high-impact research at the intersection of environmental and Earth system science and data science.
  • Develop and implement novel data science methodologies to analyse environmental and/or Earth observational datasets, model complex environmental systems, and extract actionable insights.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must have:

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Earth system science, Environmental science, Computer science, Mathematics, Theoretical Physics or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science, with a strong track record of research publications and external funding.
  • Experience in applying data sciences techniques to address environmental and/or Earth science challenges, such as remote sensing data analysis, climate modeling, or environmental monitoring.
