Job Title: High Performance Manager
Job Summary:
- Develop and implement comprehensive athlete development systems, including national team programs and coaching staff liaison.
- Manage high performance programs, oversee budgets, and ensure effective delivery of structures and systems.
- Work closely with national coaches, supervise training and competition programs, and develop monitoring tools for annual reviews.
- Coordinate with sport medicine and science divisions, manage anti-doping programs, and oversee athlete management, including recruitment and contract renewal.
- Attend meetings, review policy documents, and submit reports to the high performance committee.
Key Responsibilities:
- High Performance Planning and Management:
- Develop annual work plans and performance indicators for high performance programs.
- Serve as key performance liaison between organizations and provide quarterly reporting on program initiatives.
- Work closely with national coaches to implement training plans and develop procedures relating to high performance.
- Devise and manage annual HP program budgets, track expenses, and prepare expenditure statements.
- Work closely with finance and HR to prepare financial schemes and grants for national teams.
- Ensure effective delivery of high performance programs and pathways with approved budgets.
- Monitor and report performance metrics to SSI and NYSI.
- Support implementation and evaluation of long-term training and competition plans for HP national teams.
- Work with sport medicine and science divisions to develop and integrate training and support systems.
- Manage anti-doping programs, communication, and whereabouts information.
- Oversee procedures relating to human resource policies and financial matters pertaining to athletes.
- Recruit and renew contracts for all HP national team athletes and coaches.
- Monitor athlete agreements and ensure compliance with terms.
- Coordinate and attend SSF and international high performance related meetings.
- Review, revise, and develop policy documents as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Experience in high performance management, coaching, or a related field.
- Knowledge of sports medicine, science, and athlete development principles.
