Early Years Educator Job Description

You will be tasked with caring for and teaching a class of children from 18 months to 3 years of age. This involves creating a safe, joyful, and conducive classroom environment that promotes age-appropriate activities and lessons.

The role requires you to engage children in storytelling, song, and dance as well as sensorial activities to work on their fine and gross motor skills.

You will be expected to carry out the curriculum according to the centre's guidelines, fostering a joy for learning and celebrating the children's developmental milestones.

Regular feedback will be given to parents on the development of their children with regards to lessons and daily routine care.

The educator will guide and develop lifelong skills and values in children, engaging them in purposeful play.

Interactive and sensorial activities will be planned and conducted to ignite the children's sense of wonder about the world around them.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education or Advanced Certificate in Early Years, good communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for equipping and inspiring young lives.

Loving interaction with young children between 18 months to 3 years of age is also required.
