Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for independently determining and preparing requisitions for packages of mechanical components and/or equipment required in a project. They will assist in evaluating the technical aspects of bids and executing orders to deliver packages on time and ensure they meet technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand specifications and requirements in the area of marine mechanical packages and equipment, including Essential and Emergency Generator, Non API pumps, Fire water pumps, Garco pumps, Inert Gas Generator package, low and High Foam Expansion Packages, etc.
  • Develop technical specifications/standards and requisitions for marine packaged equipment and systems, such as Essential and Emergency Generator, Non API pumps, Inert Gas Generator package, low and High Foam Expansion Packages, etc.
  • Evaluate the technical aspects of bids received from suppliers and conclude assessments.
  • Assist in placing and executing orders, reviewing supplier documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance, and liaising with stakeholders.
  • Provide technical/engineering support, visit, and advice for quality work at supplier shops and construction/commissioning work at sites.
  • Resolve technical issues using expert knowledge and technical know-how that may arise during package engineering, fabrication, and post-delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in Mechanical engineering in the oil and gas sector, preferably with experience in FPSO, off-shore applications
  • Possess relevant experience working on EPC projects
  • Conversant with design standards and International Industry Codes such as ASME, NFPA, International codes (such as IMO, SOLAS) Classification Rules and regulations, etc.
