High-Performance Software Specialist

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-performance software solutions for the back office of an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system.
- Gathering requirements from stakeholders and end-users is essential to ensure that our systems meet their needs.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining software applications requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Creating and submitting documentation throughout the software development lifecycle is crucial for effective communication and collaboration.
- Providing day-to-day application support to end-users is critical for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.
- Liaising with users on requirement, design, and testing issues ensures that we deliver high-quality solutions that meet their expectations.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5–7 years of relevant experience in software design, development, and maintenance, preferably with high-volume, performance-intensive systems like AFC or similar transactional systems.
- Strong skills in backend development, system support, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications in software engineering, project management, or related fields are a plus.
