Job Opportunity:

The Mechanical Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of mechanical projects. Key responsibilities include reviewing designs, producing deliverables, and liaising with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve mechanical team designs to ensure quality, safety, and technical standards
  • Produce and review design deliverables, including specifications, schedules, drawings, and calculations
  • Assess client or third-party designs and information to determine suitability
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to obtain further information as needed
  • Deliver projects across the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to commissioning and handover
  • Optimize client asset standards to identify cost-effective alternatives without compromising outcomes
  • Analyze tender bid data for plant items
  • Manage deliverables on time and budget, and oversee the work of others as necessary
  • Prepare estimates, design programmes, and liaison with clients to agree project deliverables
  • Conduct quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • About 8 years of experience in mechanical design works, preferably with contractor experience in water and wastewater industry
  • Experience in water and/or wastewater treatment processes and relevant mechanical design criteria
  • General understanding of regulatory environments
  • Ability to rationalize designs and produce economic plant layouts
