Job Opportunity: System Interface Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Interface Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing interface projects from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical/electronic/computer engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience in railway systems. You should also possess excellent communication and customer management skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and deliver projects within tight timelines.

About the Role:

  • Lead a team of system interface engineers in a site environment.
  • Act as primary customer contact for ISCS Interface activities.
  • Lead technical sessions with Customer, External Consultants and SWCs (System Wide Contractors) to discuss System Interface issues.
  • Manage and be fully responsible for the planning and schedule of interface testing with subsystems of major SWCs.
  • Work closely with software development teams to drive technical development leading the delivery of ISCS software for ITC (Integrated Testing and Commissioning activities).
  • Follow up on Interface Related Documents such as but not limited to ICDs, IDDs, OMPDs, etc.
  • Follow up with Software Development Team for software interface related issues, etc.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in railway systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer management skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver projects within tight timelines.
  • Self-management skills before being able to manage others.
  • Ability to work as a team player as well as a team lead.

Reporting Relationship:

  • The incumbent reports to Manager, C3, Mobility Rail.

Work Location:

  • ST Engineering Electronics Hub.
