Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the English/Mandarin Teacher and the Principal in the execution of professional duties and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the English/Mandarin Teacher in providing appropriate learning experiences for children within an inquiry, play-based context
* Document the children's learning through contributions via newsletters, portfolios, etc.
* Create a warm and nurturing environment for children
* Build and maintain close partnership with parents
* Assist the English/Mandarin Teacher in establishing group-based activities, inquiry-based learning, and play-based teaching models
* Demonstrate positive teamwork and communication skills
* Maintain good communication with parents
* Assist the English/Mandarin Teacher in recording children's learning experiences through school newsletters, class noticeboards, and child development reports
* Provide a positive language environment that fosters children's interest in learning Chinese

Qualifications

* Possess a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education or its equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant teaching experience
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work well independently as well as within a team
* ECDA L2
* At least 1 year of early childhood teaching experience
* Fluent Mandarin language skills
* Good writing skills
* Proactive and responsible attitude
