Job Title: Transport Operations Specialist
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.
The ideal candidate will have a Class 4 Driving License, higher education, and experience in construction, housekeeping, inventory management, cement handling, unloading vehicles, weighing, and vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to traffic control team and maintaining radio communication at all times.
- Ensuring timely arrival for delivery and collection of import and export cargoes respectively.
- Checking and confirming documentation such as delivery notes and pick-up orders.
- Endorsing permits at customs checkpoints and reporting any damage or discrepancies during transit.
- Performing routine vehicle maintenance and adhering to safety protocols while on duty.
- Carrying out other duties assigned by superiors.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Class 4 Driving License: Essential for navigating through various terrains and environments.
- Higher Education: Provides a solid foundation for understanding logistics and transportation principles.
- Construction Experience: Helps in handling heavy equipment and machinery.
- Housekeeping Skills: Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
- Inventory Management: Ensures accurate tracking and storage of goods.
- Cement Handling: Requires attention to detail and physical stamina.
