Job Overview

The Optical Test Specialist position involves evaluating and implementing testing strategies for new products. This role requires performing electro-optical tests to characterize optoelectronic devices and photonic integrated circuits.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and recommend testing approaches for new products.
  • Conduct electro-optical tests to characterize optoelectronic devices and photonic integrated circuits.
  • Generate detailed test reports with measurement results and analyses in a timely manner.
  • Support the development of test capabilities within the Photonics Test Lab.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure testability of optical modules.
  • Maintain and calibrate measurement instrumentation and software control systems.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools like Excel or statistical software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
