Job Overview

This senior leadership position oversees the creation of cutting-edge data centers, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with global standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Management: Lead a team in crafting world-class data center designs, focusing on technical excellence, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Project Oversight: Directly manage experienced engineering staff to deliver data center projects on time and within budget.
  • Global Standards: Develop and implement globally standardized tools, techniques, and processes for design management and reporting.

Maintaining Collaboration and Technical Expertise:

  • Inter-Departmental Coordination: Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external design partners, construction management, and commercial management to ensure stakeholder buy-in and efficient project delivery.
  • Center of Excellence Teamwork: Collaborate with regional teams to drive consistency and technical excellence in design and delivery practices and methodologies.

Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Advancements in Design: Stay up-to-date on innovative technologies and design solutions to inform future data center design and construction needs.
  • Global Design Standards: Ensure all designs align with Equinix's Global Design Standards, meeting business requirements for capacity, density, and function.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • 7+ Years of Experience: A proven track record in a Design MEP Firm or mission-critical building operations, or equivalent experience as an Architectural lead or project manager.
  • Qualifications: MSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Architecture, or extensive experience in the field.
