We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a renal setting.
- Job Summary:
To provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the treatment process. The ideal candidate will have experience in renal care and be able to assess patients' conditions before, during, and after dialysis treatments, identifying potential complications and taking necessary actions to prevent them.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring vital signs and reporting any abnormal findings or complications promptly to ensure timely intervention.
Additionally, the Nurse will administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, adhere to established protocols for safe medication administration, and manage vascular access sites, including AV fistulas and catheters, ensuring proper care and maintenance to prevent complications.
Educating patients and caregivers on renal disease, dialysis treatment, dietary restrictions, and medication adherence is also a key responsibility of this role.
The Nurse will collaborate with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and treatment progress, adhering to established standards for record-keeping.
- Requirements:
A Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure and relevant experience in renal care is required for this position.
Diploma or degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is mandatory.
A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a renal or dialysis setting, is highly desirable.
Prior experience in haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills, as well as the ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
A team player with a compassionate and patient-focused approach is essential for success in this role.
