Transforming Human Health through Secure Product Design

Illumina is a leader in genomic technology, expanding access to healthcare for billions of people worldwide. As the Senior Manager of Product Security, you will play a critical role in ensuring the secure design and posture of our software products in the Asia-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Information Security Product Security team in APAC, fostering a culture of secure design.
  • Develop and implement processes and practices for secure design, deeply integrated into our company's day-to-day operations.
  • Build and lead a team of technical experts, partnering with R&D to introduce security as an integral part of every software product we build.
  • Establish consistent cybersecurity risk management practices across multiple projects.
  • Design and maintain a robust platform for continuous support of products in a secure state post-deployment, both in the cloud and at customer sites.
  • Develop and run product security training programs, enhancing the working knowledge of product security across R&D departments and driving a culture shift within the organization.
  • Oversee the team's budget and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in product security, with a focus on cloud security and medical device security.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated security best practices.
  • Experience in software development is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/.NET/C# and Linux/Docker technology stacks is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the healthcare and medical device industry.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in information security, cybersecurity, or relevant experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification preferred.
