At MICRON SEMICONDUCTOR ASIA OPERATIONS PTE. LTD., we are seeking an exceptional Automation Team Lead to join our team.

About the Role

This is a leadership role that oversees the development and implementation of automation projects, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate improvement opportunities and propose solutions for automation projects
  • Collaborate with Central Automation team to drive automation strategy and ensure seamless integration with other engineering teams
  • Evaluate improvement ideas based on return on investment, quality, and safety/ergonomics improvement
  • Partner with internal team members and automation vendors to design solutions that meet improvement objectives
  • Propose improvement ideas to management for approval
  • Plan overall project within expected scope, budget, and timeline
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of automation engineers
  • Recruit top talent to form the ideal team structure
  • Closely work with and monitor suppliers' timelines and resources
  • Identify and track overall site project breakthroughs, technical challenges, lead-times, and risk mitigation plans
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's in engineering or Science fields
  • At least 5 years of work experience in physical automation/data engineering and related engineering field
  • Proven ability in managing direct reports (leadership role) with experience in building new teams desired
  • Practical experience working with AMHS (Automated Material Handling Systems), equipment automation
  • Practical knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and Dispatch/Scheduling tool in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Contractual and commercial awareness
  • Proven ability in project and/or program management
  • Excellent analytical, fact-based decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration with other groups, internally and externally
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritize goals and objectives
