The role of an aircraft painter involves a range of tasks including the removal of old paint, preparation of surfaces, and application of new coats. This is a dynamic position that requires attention to detail, ability to work at height, and knowledge of chemical and mechanical methods for removing paint.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remove old paint from aircraft using chemical and mechanical methods
  • Prepare surface effectively to ensure optimal bonding of new paint
  • Repair and touch up paintwork as necessary
  • Apply primers, base coats, and topcoats according to Maintenance Manual and safety procedures
  • Ensure painting equipment and tools are clean and in proper working condition
  • Complete tasks per project timeline
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience
  • Good team player
  • Able to work at height
  • No allergies to chemical and solvent
  • Must be able to work on rotating shift, including weekend and Public Holidays
