Operations and Administrative Manager for Academic Institute

Alexandra Health PTE. LTD. seeks a highly skilled Operations and Administrative Manager to oversee the administrative matters of our research-focused academic institute, GERI.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing office resources, providing guidance to staff, and ensuring efficiency in the overall work environment. This includes planning, implementing, and supporting the institute's day-to-day operational functions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient operation of the institute in alignment with strategic plans
- Optimize resource utilization and provide administrative support as assigned
- Work closely with staff on workflow improvement and facilitate communication between departments
- Oversee office supplies, printers, and facilities, including purchasing, maintenance, and repair
- Liaise with external parties, such as landlords, IT support, and security services, to ensure a safe and secure work environment
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site assistance during calls, presentations, and projects
- Review annual IT work plans and propose budgets for review and consolidation
- Verify IT-related invoices and ensure compliance with NHG HR Travel Policies
- Support key research events and staff events, such as team bonding exercises
- Perform fire warden duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and recognized professional expertise
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in office management/administration and procurement/IT matters
- Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, audit, and internal controls
- Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude, initiative, and keenness to learn
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously, think ahead, anticipate, and problem-solve under pressure
- Collaborative spirit and effective stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency in commonly used IT tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, TEAMS, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Excellent written and conversational English skills
Salary Range: SGD $6,000 - SGD $8,000 per month (dependent on qualifications and experience), negotiable.
